What's wrong with ketchup?
Ketchup contains vinegar which is fermented. On the cross, Jesus Himself refused to drink of the vinegar offered Him. “They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, He would not drink.” –Matthew 27:34
Different people have different tastes. Try these recipes and see what works best for you.
1. Ketchup (We've tried this recipe and find it very tasty)
- 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
- 1/2 cup Sucanat (brown sugar can be used)
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sweet basil
- 1/2 tsp. cumin
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
In a blender, blend all ingredients together until very smooth. Pour into storage container and refrigerate.
