Forgiveness that Frees

F-O-R-G-I-V-E-N-! The sweetest word ever spoken to any human being at any time! F-O-R-G-I-V-E-! Perhaps the most difficult word for any human being to speak at any time! Jesus often spoke these words to people He met while on this earth. Worship in the ancient tabernacle centered on forgiveness of sin. A humble and contrite heart was the motivation that made it possible for the sinner to be forgiven. A forgiving and a forgiven sinner - like me - filled with the grace of God, knowing the great price Jesus paid for my salvation, moves me to obey my Lord and find the joy and peace He gives me in worship that brings – forgiveness that frees, me the forgiver and you the forgiven, or me the forgiven and you the forgiver.
