This year, and over the next four years, Redwood’s over-arching theme is “Christ’s Method Alone,” taken from Ellen White’s statement in The Ministry of Healing: “Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. The He bade them, ‘Follow Me’” (p. 143). Each summer we plan to focus on a different aspect of His method. In 2015 our emphasis is “Building Relationships.” When Jesus was on earth, He mingled with people from all levels of society, getting to know their needs, hopes, and fears. In all His interactions, He communicated His concern, speaking and acting “as one who desired their good.” Jesus wanted the best for them—and they knew it! We pray that this summer’s meetings and activities will point you to Jesus and inspire you to build His kind of relationships with your families, friends, coworkers, and communities. | Speakers (media status) |
